REAL LIFE WEIGHT LOSS STORY OF POOJA SINGH

How much did you lose in how many days?

I lost 8 kgs in 4 months.

What was your motivation behind weight loss?

My fitness journey started with dtf during  pandemic. I had gained a lot of weight during the pandemic, and my stamina had decreased significantly. Then a friend, suggested I join DTF’s online workout classes. In few weeks only i started seeing the result. I felt much better about my looks and more confident. My trainer, Namrata is incredibly encouraging, enthusiastic, and hardworking. She closely monitors how I follow her instructions. Each of her training sessions introduces new exercises, which makes the workouts enjoyable and engaging.

What was your weight loss diet (what drinks you had, did you eat fruits etc) and routine?

During my weight loss journey, I strictly followed the 7-day diet plan provided by my trainer Namrata. I always preferred to have my meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) on time and that really worked. I allowed myself a cheat meal for dinner either on Friday or Saturday and restricted my intake of junk food. I made sure to have my dinner before 7 pm and only ate sweets as part of my cheat meals. This approach helped me lose weight quickly. Also, I started drinking lots of water.

Did you completely cut-down on sugar?

Not exactly, but yes I am a tea person. I started having jaggery tea. It has been 3 years, I have been consuming white sugar only in the form of desserts.

Did you have cheat meals? If yea, then how many times in a week? What is your go-to cheat meal?

I love homemade food, so my cheat meal always includes outside food like pizza, pasta, biryani, ice cream and sweets. I usually choose Friday or Saturday as my cheat day. On the other days, I stick to my diet plan.

What is one rule that you abide by for losing weight?

Consistency plays a very important role in weight loss. Never skip your workouts and always keep an eye on your diet as well.

What was one thing that worked best for you?

Namrata, my trainer, is someone I am very grateful to. She is an amazing mentor and a powerhouse of energy. She always motivates me to be regular in class and to stick to the diet. Her one-on-one interactions during online classes also encourage me to improve continuously. I would also like to thank Mrs Sonia Bakshi, the founder of DTF. She has created a well-designed diet plan that provides well-balanced meals.

One challenge that you faced and how did you overcome it?

I used to be someone who loved to eat all the time, especially enjoying parathas for breakfast. Initially, it was very tough for me to follow the diet plan. However, I found that the DTF diet plan included many of the foods I wanted to eat, with some new options as well. For example. I had never eaten oats, before, but when I started having oats for breakfast once a week, I really enjoyed it.

Is there a weight loss myth that you got to know about during your journey?

“Eat less because you are on a diet” is a myth. I would say quantity depends on your appetite , so always eat mindfully.
