Lily-Rose Depp gives Wired It Girl chic a new look with Chanel Horlogerie

Back in 2021, news dropped that all the fashion It girls had dropped Bluetooth wireless headphones and were wearing strictly wired headphones instead. Instagram accounts such as @wireditgirls began documenting the likes of Bella Hadid, Lana Del Rey, Emily Ratajkowski and Mona Tougaard all on their daily escapades while sporting wired headphones. Now it seems the Wired It Girls have received a new upgrade courtesy of Chanel Horlogerie – who has dropped a watch, which is also a necklace and somehow headphones too.

The Chanel Watchmaking Creation Studio, directed by Arnaud Chastaingt unveiled earlier this week the Première Sound watch, the latest evolution of the iconic Première watch from 1987. Created in 1987, the Première watch is timeless. While combining the House’s icons – an octagonal case inspired by the stopper of the No. 5 perfume bottle, a flexible bracelet as a nod to the chained shoulder strap of the House’s iconic bag – it embodies a spirit of freedom and audacity of Chanel.

This new creation merges the timeless elegance of Chanel’s watchmaking design with modern technology performance. The Première Sound transforms the classic watch into a long sautoir necklace that integrates wired headphones, connecting effortlessly to smartphones and audio devices.

In a campaign featuring Lily-Rose Depp, the model and actress takes to the streets of Paris sporting the Première Sound watch. The watch features a steel case coated with 18k yellow gold, a black-lacquered dial, and an interwoven necklace chain combining black leather and matte black audio cable. The result is a sophisticated piece that retains its jewellery watch essence while embracing the digital age. Incorporating state-of-the-art audio technology, the removable wired Première Sound’s headphones are designed to provide an immersive listening experience with high-quality sound and passive noise insulation.

The headphones come with a remote control and microphone, allowing users to manage audio playback and take calls with ease. This combination of aesthetic appeal and technological performance ensures that the Première Sound is not only a statement piece but also a practical accessory for everyday life.

The campaign marks almost a decade since The Idol actress first began working with Chanel. Handpicked by Karl Lagerfeld when she was 16, Depp has been a constant brand ambassador for the French fashion house. Over the years, she has been spotted in Chanel couture on red carpets and in multiple campaigns as the face of Chanel No. 5 L’Eau, the Première Édition Originale watch and now Première Sound.
