Hyderabad: Questioning the moves of the BJP to push the use of Hindi in the country undermining India’s rich linguistic diversity, BRS Working President and MLA K.T. Rama Rao on Saturday criticized the BJP government at the Centre for its bid to impose Hindi under the guise of “amicable promotion.
Rama Rao pointed out that the BJP’s actions expose its true intent to undermine the cultural and linguistic fabric of India. He questioned the delay in forming the Parliamentary Committee on Official Languages, asking, “Why can’t our languages be respected and celebrated for the diversity they bring? Why can’t the BJP, for once, respect the cultural and linguistic fabric of India?”
Taking to X, he voiced his concern over linguistic diversity being put at stake in the backdrop of ongoing debate about the promotion of Hindi as a unifying language.
By pushing Hindi imposition under the pretense of ‘amicable promotion,’ BJP exposes its true intent once again it’s about undermining India’s rich linguistic diversity
My question to BJP Government why the delay in forming the Parliamentary Committee on Official Languages?
