Healy of Women’s Soccer Named Landmark Offensive Athlete of the Week

Graduate Student Niamh Healy of The University of Scranton women’s soccer team scored crucial goals in both of the Royal’s victories last week and has been named Landmark Conference Offensive Athlete of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
This marks the fifth career Landmark Athlete of the Week selection for Healy, who earned consecutive honors last season.
Healy opened the scoring for the Royals during their 5-0 victory over Penn State Berks, and led the team with five shots, including three on goal.
The Orangeburg, N.Y. native notched her fourth goal of the season on Saturday, when she scored the deciding goal for the Royals in the 83rd minute to lift Scranton over Stevens, 2-1.
Healy and the Royals will be back in action on Wednesday at SUNY New Paltz with a start time set for 4:00 p.m.
