USAID offers grants up to $100,000 for inclusive business projects in Uzbekistan
Today, on September 16, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) announced a new call for proposals through its Business Support Project.
The initiative is designed to enhance the business environment and stimulate growth in key sectors including textiles, tourism, green economy, and information communications technology (ICT).
The grant program will support a diverse range of entities such as small and medium-sized businesses, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and other organizations that contribute to economic growth and social inclusion. USAID is particularly interested in funding projects that focus on empowering women, youth, and other vulnerable groups.
Grants will range from $25,000 to $100,000, with a cost-sharing requirement. USAID will co-finance 50 percent of the project cost for most businesses. For projects focusing on women, youth, and vulnerable populations, USAID could fund up to 80 percent.
The deadline for the submission of applications is October 15, 2024. The announcement and concept paper templates are available for download here.
This grant initiative is part of USAID’s five-year Business Support project, which is dedicated to fostering inclusive economic growth in Uzbekistan. The project promotes a dynamic, innovative, and sustainable entrepreneurial ecosystem that aims to drive long-term economic development.
