NBA veteran and journeyman center Boban Marjanović has found a new home.

Marjanović has decided to join the Turkish team Fenerbahçe, his agency, Excel Sports, told NBA insider Marc Stein.
After nine straight seasons in the NBA, veteran center Boban Marjanović is joining perennial Turkish power Fenerbahçe, his agency @excelsm confirms.

Marjanović is on track to complete a one-year contract that will allow both sides to opt out of the deal before January.
The 36-year-old has been in the NBA since 2015 and has played for numerous teams, including the San Antonio Spurs, Detriot Pistons, Los Angeles Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers, Dallas Mavericks, and Houston Rockets over the last nine seasons of his career.
In 331 career games, Marjanović has recorded 5.5 points and 3.6 rebounds in 8.7 minutes per game. He appeared in just 14 contests for Houston last season, logging 71 total minutes. Marjanović is a mountain of a man standing at 7-foot-4. His size and skill set made him a situational specialist throughout his NBA career.
While that was the case, he never averaged more than 11.7 minutes per game or appeared in more than 58 games in a single season.
For most of the offseason, Marjanović has been seeking a new opportunity in the NBA; however, he drew more interest overseas than in the NBA. He is no stranger to the overseas game, having played in Serbia, Russia, and Lithuania from 2006-15.
Marjanović was quite successful in international games as he has been named to All-EuroLegaue First Team, EuroLeague rebounding leader, Serbian League Champion, three-time Serbian League MVP, Serbian League Domestic Player of the Year, and three-time All-Serbian League First Team.
The 36-year-old has been fantastic overseas and will look to continue his stellar play with his new team.
Marjanović started his NBA career in 2015 when the Spurs signed him to a one-year, $1.2 million contract. After one year in San Antonio, he was a restricted free agent and received a three-year, $21 million offer sheet from the Detroit Pistons. The Spurs declined to match the offer, and he signed with the Pistons in the 2016 offseason.
After two seasons in Detriot, Marjanović, along with Tobias Harris, Avery Bradley, a future-protected first-round draft pick, and a future second-round draft pick, was traded to the Clippers in exchange for Blake Griffin, Willie Reed, and Brice Johnson.
After only one year with the Clippers, Marjanović bounded to the 76ers, Mavericks, and Rockets, where he spent the 2023-24 season. Marjanović is one of the best characters the NBA has had and is one of the league’s likable guys.
Now, Marjanović will embark on a new journey after nine years in the United States.
