BMW X7 Signature Edition Launched at Rs 1.33 Crore in India

BMW has launched a special-edition version of the X7 for the Indian market, called the Signature Edition. The BMW X7 Signature Edition will be available in limited numbers, ensuring exclusivity.

BMW has launched a special-edition version of the X7 for the Indian market, called the Signature Edition. Priced at Rs 1.33 crore (ex-showroom), the BMW X7 Signature Edition will be available in limited numbers and can be exclusively booked through the BMW Online Shop. 

Similar to the regular X7, the Signature Edition comes with a large kidney grille with newly designed double bars featuring chrome highlights; however, it gets crystal headlamps with Swarovski glass cut crystals, producing a distinctive light effect. The vehicle additionally features satin aluminium roof rails, 3D taillamps with new graphics, and a connecting chrome bar covered by smoked glass. BMW India offers two colour options with the vehicle: Tanzanite Blue and Dravit Grey.

BMW X7 Signature Edition: Interior, Features

Inside, the Signature Edition has a freestanding BMW Curved Display comprising a 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. It also brings a leather-wrapped Individual Instrument Panel, 14-colour ambient lighting, crystal door pins, a panoramic sunroof, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, and Alcantara cushions (for rear-seat passengers). The rear-seat passengers also benefit from leather Merino captain seats, while the split tailgate comes with hands-free operation, offering access to a boot capacity of up to 2,120 litres. Other bits include a head-up display, BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, digital key, and ADAS tech.

The BMW X7 Signature Edition gets the same 3.0-litre six-cylinder turbo-petrol engine paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system, making an extra 12bhp and 300Nm of torque. Combined output figures are 375bhp at 5,200-6,250rpm and 520Nm at 1,850-5,000rpm. The engine is coupled to an 8-speed automatic gearbox with the xDrive all-wheel drive tech. BMW claims that the Signature Edition can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 5.8 seconds.

The BMW X7 Signature Edition is available in a single xDrive40i petrol variant. It is being manufactured at BMW’s Chennai plant.
