Diljit Dosanjh’s upcoming Dil-Luminati India Tour is facing a legal challenge from Riddhima Kapoor, a law student from Delhi. Kapoor has issued a legal notice alleging unfair practices in the ticket sales for the tour, which is set to start in Delhi on October 26, 2024, and will travel to 10 cities across India.

According to a report by the Free Press Journal, Kapoor claims that although the organisers announced a specific time for ticket sales, tickets were released a minute earlier than scheduled, leading to a quick sell-out. She alleges that this early release, along with inflated prices and potential scalping, indicates manipulative practices by the organisers.

Kapoor’s legal notice cites concerns about ticket manipulation and unfair trade practices. Despite the booking window being set for September 12 at 1 pm, she found tickets available earlier and was unable to secure one, despite having an HDFC credit card for early access.

The notice also involves other parties such as Zomato, HDFC Bank, and Saregama Pvt Ltd, but these entities have not yet responded.

With the tour set to cover cities like Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, and Kolkata, this situation raises questions about the fairness of ticketing practices and consumer rights in the event management industry.
