Armani enters F&B with the launch of Armani/Caffe in Tokyo

The Armani Group is expanding its presence in Tokyo with the new Giorgio Armani boutique and Armani/Caffe, marking its expansion into the food and beverage space.

Located in Omotesando – one of Tokyo’s shopping districts, the Armani boutique and cafe aims to offer an elevated experience that goes beyond just shopping.

Designed by Giorgio Armani and his in-house architectural team, the boutique features a facade inspired by traditional Japanese lanterns, with platinum-coloured horizontal strips and luminous circles evoking the sun.

The space spans two levels and covers approximately 450sqm, combining minimalism with “subtle luxury”. Meanwhile, the interior’s beige and platinum hues are contrasted by central zones in blue, green, and gold, while Armani/Casa furnishings add to the boutique’s aesthetic.

The ground floor houses men’s clothing, accessories, and fragrances, while the first floor offers women’s collections, fine jewellery, eyewear, and watches.

Armani/Caffe is directly connected to the boutique and, expands to more than 100sqm and 34 seats. Its design is inspired by the 1930s, with smooth lines, natural materials, and elegant green hues.

The cafe offers a variety of products from Armani/Dolci by Guido Gobino, such as the Shine Muscat and Kyoho grapes parfait, as well as a selection of coffee drinks including latte, americano, and cappuccino.

Armani’s move into the food and beverage sector reflects a broader trend among luxury brands. Louis Vuitton has opened cafes in Osaka, Bangkok and Singapore, while Ralph Lauren has established cafes in New York and Chicago. Gucci also operates an Italian restaurant in Florence.
