Notable figures at the event included José Maria Neves, President of Cabo Verde, and Felipe Paullier, Assistant Secretary General for Youth Affairs.

Held at the UN Headquarters in New York, Cuppy’s role spanned from moderating the session to delivering a thrilling musical performance in the evening. Her session marked the largest youth gathering ever at the UN Headquarters, attracting young leaders and activists from across the globe.

An advocate for youth empowerment, DJ Cuppy has consistently used her platform to inspire and mobilise young people. Through her foundation, she is dedicated to advancing opportunities for youth, particularly in education and sustainability.

During her session, she hinted at her ambitions to become Nigeria’s first female president, sparking excitement in the room. This playful yet bold remark stirred imaginations, especially when UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina J. Mohammed responded with a light-hearted retort, “After me,” sending the audience into laughter.

This exchange between two prominent female figures symbolised the growing momentum behind women’s leadership in Nigeria and around the world.

With young people comprising a significant portion of the global population, their involvement remains crucial to ensuring a sustainable and equitable future.
