Nicola Coughlan and Hannah Dodd Have a “Bridgerton” Reunion at Gucci Show

Dearest gentle reader — it seems that two of the ton’s most talked about Birdgertons have reunited in the name of Italian fashion.

In other words, Nicola Coughlan and Hannah Dodd had a blissful reunion on Saturday, September 20 during Milan Fashion Week for the Gucci spring/ summer 2025 show. The fashion week event was full of A-listers — Dodd and Coughlan were seated next to Daisy Edgar-Jones and Dakota Johnsons, to name a few.

The ladies of Bridgerton were in outfits that were a far cry from the Netflix show’s lavish gowns and corsets. Dodd, who plays Francesca Bridgerton, and Coughlan, who plays Penelope Featherington (now Birdgerton), looked chic in Gucci’s finest, giving equal parts casual and sophisticated. The actors sat side-by-side and front row, looking as cozy as on-screen sisters-in-law would, holding hands and smiling softly.

Coughlan and Dodd had matching color schemes, but the former opted for an ultra-feminine white, long-sleeved dress that tied in a bow at the neckline. She covered the dress up with a brown suede poncho that looked perfectly fit for the approaching fall weather. While walking the red carpet, Coughlan wore large square sunglasses, a cherry red Gucci bag, and green embellished heels.

Dodd was more dressed down at the show — giving effortless cool girl from the jeans to the beachy waves. She paired the slouchy denim with an oversized white button-down, worn off the shoulder and exposing a row of pearls around her neck. She carried a brown handbag and walked on pointed heels.

Gucci creative director Sabato De Sarno joined the historic Italian fashion house’s team in 2023 and has sought to bring a new spin on ready-to-wear clothing without reinventing the wheel. The deep red runway was the perfect setting for models to show off the collection’s array of quiet luxury mixed with extravagance. Mark Ronson, Kirsten Dunst, Jessica Chastain, and more were among the many celebrities who lined the rows of spectators.
