YouTube New Update: Google-Owned Platform To Introduce Community Section, Auto Dubbing and Ads on Paused Screens; Check Details
New Delhi, September 22: Google’s video streaming platform, YouTube is introducing a new Community section and ads on paused screens. These changes were revealed during the “Made on YouTube” event. The update also includes a redesigned channel page for the YouTube app on smart TVs. YouTube users are expected to explore content more easily, and creators will have new ways to connect with their audience.
As per a report of Business Standard, YouTube announced a few updates at its “Made on YouTube” event on September 18. One of the changes is the addition of a Community section for creators. It will allow creators to interact more directly with their viewers. Additionally, the new pause screen ads will appear when users pause videos. The redesign of the YouTube app on smart TVs will likely make navigation simpler, along with features to support auto-dubbing for creators to expand their reach to global viewers. Communities Section on YouTube
The introduction of the Community section is expected to help YouTube creators to engage with their audiences. It will also make it simpler for subscribers to connect with creators. Right now, communities are available for some creators, and the company plans to try out this feature with more channels this year before rolling it out more widely in 2025.
Pause Screen Ads
YouTube is also rolling out ads that will appear on the screen when a video is paused. As per a report of The Verge, Google started testing the feature in 2023. YouTube has reportedly started showing pop-up ads on the screen when videos are paused.
Auto Dubbing Feature
The company is also planning to add a new feature in YouTube Studio, which will help creators to translate audio tracks of their videos in various languages. The feature is currently being tested and will be available to more creators in the next few months. The auto dubbing may support languages like Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, and more. Redesigned TV App
YouTube’s app for smart TVs is also getting a redesign, which is intended to simplify navigation and make it easier for users to browse channels and videos. Creators can also include preview videos on their page that will play automatically when someone visits to their channel.
