Abraldes of Field Hockey Named Peggy’s Scranton Athlete of the Week

Graduate Student Bridget Abraldes scored two goals and recorded four assists to lead The University of Scranton field hockey team to a 2-0 week and for her efforts has been named Peggy’s Scranton Athlete of the Week for the period ending Sept. 23, 2024.

This marks the third Peggy’s Athlete of the Week selection for the Holbrook, N.Y. native, who was last honored on Sept. 25, 2023.

Scranton defeated King’s 7-0 on Tuesday, followed by a 5-0 Landmark Conference victory against Moravian on Saturday. Abradles scored a goal and recorded two assists in each game.

Abraldes and the Royals will be back in action Tuesday against Ithaca College at Weiss Field at 7:00 P.M.
