Redding of Field Hockey Garners Landmark Offensive Athlete of the Week Honors

Graduate Student forward Katie Redding of the University of Scranton field hockey team broke the program’s career goals record while scoring four goals and adding two assists in a 2-0 week and has earned Landmark Conference Offensive Athlete of the Week honors as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon. 

This marks the ninth career Landmark Athlete of the Week selection for Redding. 

Redding set a new program record with her 58th career goal in a 7-0 win over King’s on Tuesday. The Havertown, PA native scored two goals and recorded an assist in the victory. 

She followed up on Saturday with two more goals and an assist in a 5-0 win over Moravian in the Landmark Conference opener.

Redding leads conference in points (20) and assists (6) while ranking second in goals (7). 

Redding and the Royals return to action tomorrow night at Weiss Field for a non-conference battle against Ithaca at 7:00 PM.
