TVS Ronin Prices Reduced by Rs 15,000 in India; Check Details
TVS has joined the list of automakers offering enticing offers and price reductions on their models ahead of the festive season. The automaker dropped the price of the Raider 125 by Rs 11,000 with the launch of a new drum brake variant. Following this, it has now reduced the Ronin’s price by Rs 15,000. However, this price cut only applies to the base variant (SS), which now retails for Rs 1.35 lakh (ex-showroom). The other variants, including DS, TD, and TD Special Edition, are priced at Rs 1.57 lakh, Rs 1.67 lakh and Rs 1.73 lakh, respectively. All prices are ex-showroom. Read on for further information.

TVS Ronin: Key Specs
The Ronin has an LCD instrument cluster that shows important data such as speed, engine revs, and gear shift indicator, among others. It also comes with the SmartXonnect function, which allows a smartphone to connect by Bluetooth and access services like call/SMS notifications, battery and signal strength updates, and turn-by-turn navigation. Other notable features include Glide-Through-Traffic tech, LED lighting, a three-step adjustable brake/clutch lever, and a side-stand engine cut-off capability.
The Ronin SS and DS models have single-channel ABS, while the TD versions offer dual-channel ABS. In addition, the bike features two special ABS modes (Rain and Urban) that intelligently adjust how much the ABS intervenes to offer rider safety and control in a variety of road circumstances.
Mechanically, the Ronin has a 225.9cc, single-cylinder, 4-valve, air, and oil-cooled engine that churns out a maximum power of 20bhp at 7750rpm and 19.93Nm at 3750rpm. It gets a 5-speed gearbox with assist and a slipper clutch. Hardware-wise, the bike sports a 7-step preload-adjustable rear monoshock, USD gold-coloured telescopic front forks, and 17-inch alloy wheels.
In terms of market competition, the TVS motorcycle competes with the Kawasaki W175, and the Royal Enfield Hunter 350.

In August of this year, TVS was the third-best-selling two-wheeler brand in the nation, with 2.89 lakh units sold. Compared to 2.56 lakh units sold in the same month last year, this was a year-over-year growth of 12.52%.
