Demand for disposable temperature and humidity loggers picks up as falling sea freight rates fuel international fruit and vegetable trade

Since mid-July, this downward trend in sea freight has indirectly stimulated the international trade of fruits and vegetables, particularly during the peak season in the northern hemisphere. As import and export volumes have increased, so has the market demand for temperature loggers used in logistics. Beijing Sino-Agricultural Biosciences Co., Ltd., a manufacturer and seller of temperature and humidity loggers, participated in the Asia Fruit Logistica in Hong Kong from September 4-6, showcasing their METECH disposable USB temperature logger.

Siya, a representative from Beijing Sino-Agricultural Biosciences, believes that disposable USB temperature and humidity loggers hold the most market potential among their product categories. She noted that the 4G temperature and humidity logger series, despite its features, suffers from insufficient network coverage and increased manufacturing costs due to the unstable chip industry environment. Consequently, the company paused the sales of 4G products early last year to focus on promoting the METECH disposable logger.

When talking about the advantages of the product, Siya said, “The main advantage of METECH disposable USB temperature logger is its high-cost performance, which can meet the basic needs of merchants. The USB temperature logger is non-networked, which is 6 to 10 times cheaper than the 4G series products.”

“In addition, we choose the TI digital temperature sensor, high-temperature accuracy, high consistency of this product temperature measurement range of -30 ° C ~ +70 ° C, accuracy in the ± 0.5 ° C / 0.9 ° F interval, the recorder of the temperature measurement resolution of up to 0.01 ° C / ° F. Despite the weather affecting the visitor turnout on the third day, Beijing Sino-Agricultural Biosciences expressed satisfaction with their participation in the Asia Fruit Logistica, citing tightly scheduled meetings and productive engagements during the exhibition.
