Setting the Standard for Global Bitcoin Education. – El Salvador in English

El Salvador is making headlines as Stacy Herbert and Max Keiser hail the country’s educational initiatives, with Herbert declaring that the National Bitcoin Office of El Salvador (ONBTC) has created «the best bitcoin educational program in the world.» This innovative program, known as CUBO+, aims to equip Salvadorans with the skills needed for the evolving digital currency landscape.

Since adopting bitcoin as legal tender in 2021, El Salvador has attracted global attention and investment, but it also identified a pressing need for skilled local talent in digital currency technology. In response, ONBTC has dedicated significant resources to train the next generation of professionals in this emerging field.

CUBO+ is a free program that combines software development training with education in economics, philosophy, English, and essential soft skills. Two cohorts have already graduated, training over 100 individuals, mostly young people eager to immerse themselves in the bitcoin ecosystem.

The first edition of CUBO+ focused on software development, teaching participants the fundamentals of bitcoin’s base code and the workings of second-layer applications like the Lightning Network. The second edition functioned as a business school, exploring the economic and philosophical foundations of digital assets and examining business models within the bitcoin industry.

Herbert emphasized the program’s rigor, stating, “It is not easy to enter the program,” as candidates must pass numerous tests. This high standard has contributed to CUBO+’s success, attracting interest from prominent bitcoin figures eager to support the initiative. Graduates from the program have secured internships leading to formal employment with notable bitcoin companies such as JAN3 and Tiankii, often earning salaries three to four times higher than typical graduates.

In addition to job opportunities, participants benefit from free English classes and travel experiences in countries like Italy and Switzerland, further enhancing their professional development. “They are treated as citizens of a great country,” Herbert remarked, noting the program’s emphasis on fostering a positive mindset among its students.

Looking ahead, the third edition of CUBO+ will begin next month, targeting programmers to expand the talent pool further. Meanwhile, other educational initiatives are underway, including Node Nation, which introduces high school students to blockchain technology, and collaborative efforts to develop financial education resources for younger students.

As El Salvador continues to position itself as a global leader in bitcoin education, its commitment to cultivating local talent is paving the way for a thriving digital economy.
