Nowadays in Bollywood, film makers are lavishly spending money on film sets and stars. In the last few years, such films were released on which the makers spent money like water. From grand sets to tremendous star cast, makers spent a lot of money to make their films successful. While some of these films brought huge profits to the makers, some ruined the fortunes of the makers. From Adipurush, Ganpat to Chhote Miyan-Bade Miyan and Samrat Prithviraj, many big budget films have proved to be flops at the box office in recent times. The name of another film released in 2024 has been included in this list.

Big budget film of superhit couple flopped

This film was released in theaters on 2 August 2024, in which Bollywood’s superhit onscreen couple was seen. Earlier, this pair had given many superhit films, so the makers also bet on this pair. But, hardly anyone would have imagined that the film would fare at the box office after its release. Yes, we are talking about Ajay Devgan and Tabu starrer ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’, in which apart from Ajay-Tabu, stars like Sai Manjrekar, Shantanu Maheshwari and Jimmy Shergill were also seen.

The film could not recover even 20 percent of the budget

The cast of the film promoted it a lot before its release, but unfortunately the film failed to give the makers the profits they had expected. On the contrary, it caused such a loss to the makers that they could not recover even 20 percent of the budget. The makers had bet 100 crores on this film directed by Neeraj Pandey and the hit pair of Ajay Devgan-Tabu. But, this romantic-drama could not collect even Rs 13 crore at the box office and got stuck at Rs 12.91 crore.

Released on OTT

Now this mega-flop film of 2024 is going to be released on OTT after theatres. Recently, the OTT release of ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’ was announced by the makers. Now it remains to be seen what response this film of Ajay Devgan and Tabu gets from the audience on OTT. The film has been streamed on Amazon Prime Video, which the OTT platform has recently announced.
