International Calendar Determination Committee determines auspicious time for receiving Tika in 23 countries – myRepublica
KATHMANDU, Sept 29: The International Calendar Determination Committee has announced the auspicious time for receiving tika during the upcoming Dashain festival.
Issuing a public notice on Sunday, the committee said it has published the timings of tika for 23 different countries including Nepal.
The committee chair Prof. Dr. Madhav Bhattarai has stated that the schedule has been published in local times of 32 places in 23 countries this year due to the keen interest shown by the Nepali populace in various countries including India, the United States of America, Canada, Australia, Japan, UK, South Korea, Israel. Member Secretary Acharya Laxman Panthi told Republica that although the auspicious time is the most suitable for tika ceremony, tika can be received throughout the day.
This year Vijaya Dashami falls on Saturday, October 12. The committee has mentioned that the best time for Tika on the day in Nepal is at 11:36 in the morning.
