Blackpink’s Jennie Debuts Blonde Hair At Chanel, Paris Fashion Week

Blackpink‘s Jennie joined a bevy of stars, celebrities and A-list guests for Chanel‘s show during Paris Fashion Week on Tuesday. The K-pop star styled a new blond hairdo while seated in the front row for the French luxury fashion house’s spring 2025 ready-to-wear collection show.

Upon arrival, Jennie’s blond hair stood out against the light blue Chanel look she wore. Marrying fall essentials with a touch of springtime edge, Jennie wore a light blue long-sleeve sweater with a belted waist. She paired the sweater with short-shorts, a pair of sheer black tights and black heels.

Jennie accessorized her attire with a string of Chanel pearls and a small top-handle bag. The singer and rapper waved as cameras flashed when she arrived to the spring 2025 ready-to-wear collection show.

Jennie starred in the campaign for the Chanel Première Édition Originale watch last March. Images for the campaign were captured by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin in Paris. Jennie has been a brand ambassador for Chanel since 2017.

Prior to the French luxury fashion house’s Paris Fashion Week show, WWD learned there would be “no immediate announcement” regarding Chanel’s next designer. “It’s going to take a while longer and right now, I have no visibility on when that might change,” Bruno Pavlovsky, president of fashion and president of Chanel SAS, told WWD prior to the show, per Booth Moore’s reporting.

The spring 2025 ready-to-wear collection show marks the label’s first without a creative director, following Virginie Viard’s departure last June. This collection favored designs that seemingly referenced Karl Lagerfeld.

“It wasn’t quite on the scale of his rocket or iceberg, but was a suitably imposing white birdcage inspired by a 1991 Coco fragrance ad featuring Vanessa Paradis trilling like a canary on a giant swing,” Moore wrote in her review for WWD.

“After a week of downpours, glorious blue skies preceded a collection rooted in flight. Almost every look was tufted and trimmed with feathers, both real or made of shredded chiffon and tulle petals.”
