Organizing Committee for the preparation of Turkmen athletes for the 2028 Olympic Games has been created

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a decree on the creation of the Organizing Committee for the preparation of national teams for the XXXIV Summer Olympic and XVIII Summer Paralympic Games, which will be held in Los Angeles in 2028, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

This decision is aimed at ensuring the participation of Turkmen athletes in the upcoming games and strengthening the country’s position in the international sports arena.

Let us remind that at the recent 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, Turkmenistan was represented by six athletes in various disciplines, including judo, weightlifting, swimming and athletics. In addition, a Turkmen athlete participated in the Paralympic Games in para-powerlifting competitions.
