Sheridan County HS Football: The second half of the Wyoming High School Football season starts today for Sheridan County teams.

The Sheridan Broncs will play at Cheyenne Central who is a team that is statistically very pass happy.

On the flip side, the Indians defense is very strong at stopping the run, but not all that great at stopping the pass.

Head Coach Jeff Mowry says the Central D likes to try something different now and again, which can open the door to their own mistakes.

He adds the Broncs just have to wait for one to happen and then pounce on it.

Kickoff in Cheyenne is scheduled for 6pm.

You can watch a LIVE video stream of the game at sheridanmedia.com.

Shane Parker will also have the radio play-by-play call on AM 1410 KWYO and 106.9 FM.

Elsewhere in Sheridan County, Big Horn hosts Moorcroft for their homecoming game.

Kickoff is scheduled for 6pm.

Tongue River’s game at Upton-Sundance tonight will not take place due to issues that have arisen from the Elk Fire burning near Dayton.

The team will be back in action next weekend at home vs. San Diego State.

Mountain West Conference News: The University of Texas El Paso will officially join the conference as a full time member, starting with the football season of 2026.

This will give the conference 8 football teams, which is the minimum number of teams that a conference needs to be officially recognized by the NCAA.

The problem is Hawaii is a football only member, meaning there will only be 7 teams in all other sports, however several media outlets are reporting that the conference is in talks with the Rainbow Warriors to bring them in as a full time member.

Kickoff is scheduled for 2pm and you can hear that game LIVE on Fox Sports 106.3 FM.
