New Delhi: Kia India has officially launched the much-anticipated fourth-generation Carnival MPV, alongside its flagship all-electric EV9. Priced at ₹63.90 lakh (ex-showroom, India), the luxury MPV has already garnered significant interest, with 2,796 bookings made since pre-bookings opened on September 16. With its extensive upgrades and premium features, the new Carnival aims to set a benchmark in the luxury MPV segment.

The fourth-gen Kia Carnival will only be available in a single Limousine+ variant, tailored to meet the demands of luxury-seeking buyers. Despite a steep price hike—almost ₹25-₹30 lakh more than its predecessor—the model offers an array of advanced features that justify its higher cost. The previous Carnival model was priced between ₹30 lakh and ₹35 lakh (ex-showroom, India), making the new version notably more expensive. However, the premium feel and advanced technology incorporated into the latest iteration distinguish it in the market.

2024 Kia Carnival: Key Highlights

One of the key highlights of the new Carnival is its upgraded interior, starting with dual electric sunroofs that add a sense of openness to the cabin. Additionally, the dashboard now houses two large 12.3-inch displays—one for the instrument cluster and another for infotainment—enhancing the vehicle’s modern appeal. Other luxurious touches include powered and ventilated front-row seats, powered rear doors, and a 360-degree surround camera equipped with a blind-spot monitor. These features, combined with multi-zone climate control, a premium music system, and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), ensure that passengers travel in utmost comfort and safety.

2024 Kia Carnival: Mechancial Specs

Under the hood, the Carnival retains its robust 2.2-litre diesel engine, delivering 197 bhp and 440 Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. While the engine configuration remains unchanged, the enhanced features and advanced technology truly set the new Carnival apart from its predecessor.

Kia’s decision to price the Carnival at ₹63.90 lakh signals its intent to position the MPV in the upper echelons of the Indian automotive market. Despite the price jump, the overwhelming pre-booking response suggests that customers are eager to experience the new blend of luxury and functionality the Carnival offers. With its spacious cabin, cutting-edge features, and powerful performance, the new Kia Carnival continues to be a strong contender in the luxury MPV segment.
