Flood Forecasting Division predicts stable river conditions | Ratopati

Kathmandu, October 6 — The country is currently under the influence of monsoon winds. There is a partial effect from a low-pressure system formed in the northern regions of Bangladesh and West Bengal, India, particularly in the eastern and central parts of the country.

According to this morning’s measurements, the water levels of the Koshi, Narayani, Karnali, Mahakali, and their tributaries, as well as the Kankai, Kamala, Bagmati, Eastern Rapti, Western Rapti, and Babai rivers, are below the alert level and in normal condition. The Flood Forecasting Division predicts that most rivers across the country will remain in normal condition on Sunday.

For the next three days, it is forecasted that the water levels of the Koshi, Narayani, Karnali, Mahakali, and their tributaries, along with the Kankai, Kamala, Bagmati, Eastern Rapti, Western Rapti, and Babai rivers, will remain below the alert level and will fluctuate normally. The division has requested that activities in riverbank areas maintain a general level of vigilance.
