New Delhi: SBI Card has decided to revise the credit card transaction fees and charges from different dates. From finance charges to utility payments, the card issuer plans to revise the new fees in a staggered manner. The fee revisions will not affect certain credit card users, according to the company’s official website.

SBI credit card finance charges

SBI Card will charge a 3.75 per cent per month fee on financing of unsecured loans via credit card. The revised charges will apply to all credit cards except Shaurya and Defense cards, with effect from November 1, 2024. This will rate the financing charge by 0.07 per cent from 3.50 per cent per month at present, according to SBI Card’s official website.

SBI Card utility payment charges

SI Card will charge a 1 per cent fee on utility bill payments exceeding Rs 50,00 per month effective December 1, 2024. These charges will apply to payments related to telephone and mobile besides power bills as well as insurance premium payments.

SBI credit card changes in 2024

SBI Card discontinued the Club Vistara and SBI Credit Card Prime cards effective September 28, 2024. The company made it mandatory to update nominees for credit card insurance in line with RBI guidelines. SBI Card also discontinued the accrual of reward points on government transactions in multiple tranches on specific credit cards. The company also discontinued rewards points for rent payments on certain credit cards in a staggered manner this year.

SBI Cards and Payment Services share price history

SBI Cards’ share price rose 0.22 per cent on Tuesday to Rs 732.55 apiece, The company;s stock price was down 5 per cent over the past 5 days, and 8.70 per cent over the past month. SBI Cards’ share price rose 1.28 per cent in the past month but declined 6.46 per cent in the past year, according to NSE data.
