In the film industry, the ongoing cycle of hits and flops persists at the box office. Today, we’re focusing on a superstar’s move that had a production budget more than Rs 100 crores, yet it turned out to be a complete disaster at the box office. In fact, the film didn’t manage to meet its budget. In 2022, Ajay Devgn made a film called Runway 34, in which he shared the screen with Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani and Rakul Preet Singh. However, despite the star-studded cast, the film failed to achieve box office success.

According to reports, the production budget of Ajay Devgn’s Runway 34 was Rs 105 crore. However, upon its release, the film turned out to be a disaster at the box office.  Forget about earning, the film could not even cover its costs.

The film opened its account at the box office with Rs 3 crores. This is a low number for Ajay Devgn starrer as his films usually earns in double digits. In India, Runway 34 earned only Rs 32 crore, and worldwide did a business of Rs 54.71 crore. It is evident from the numbers that the film was able to recover only half of its cost at the box office.

Ajay Devgn portrayed Captain Vikrant Khanna in Runway 34. He took the charge of both direction and production in the film. Yes, After Shivaay, the actor decided to take another directorial projects in his hands. Upon its release, it garnered positive reviews from critics. However, destiny played such a role that audience chose not to flock to theatres to see Runway 34.

On the work front, Ajay Devgn is set to appear in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again. This is his successful franchise, whose last two films have been super hit and did great business at the box office. Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, and Deepika Padukone are also a part of this movie.
