“This initiative is much more than adopting new technology; it’s about creating a future that is cleaner and faster where advanced mobility is not just a concept but a reality,” claims Sarla Aviation while describing the project.

This project will not only set up a new standard for sustainable aviation but also enhance the image of Bengaluru airport as a forward-thinking hub where sustainability is the heart of everything.

Sharing his excitement, Adrian Schmidt, chief executive and co-founder of Sarla Aviation, says he is proud to partner with Bengaluru Airport. He further goes on to describe his vision of creating a better future for Karnataka and, in turn, the world.

“Currently, a journey from Indiranagar to the airport can take 1.5 hours—very soon, we will reduce that to just 5 minutes with Sarla’s fully electric flying taxis. I am truly inspired by the leadership at Bengaluru Airport, whose vision challenges young companies like ours to push boundaries and redefine what’s possible,” Schmidt adds.

This collaboration represents a transformative journey towards reshaping how passengers travel, providing faster, cleaner, and more efficient air mobility options.
