Amazon adds more countries with ads on Prime Video

Advertising on Prime Video shows and movies is to be introduced in Brazil, India, Japan, the Netherlands, and New Zealand in 2025.

The regional expansion of Prime Video ads will support the ongoing creation of compelling content over a long period of time and help brands of all sizes connect with new audiences in new countries, accordingo to Amazon.

Over the past several years, Amazon has focused on building Prime Video into a premium entertainment destination offering a slate of original series and films from Amazon MGM Studios, including Reacher, The Lord of Rings: The Rings of Power, The Summer I Turned Pretty, Road House, and The Idea of You, as well as licensed movies and series, content from other services made accessible as an add-on subscription, blockbuster movies and series to rent or buy, and FAST live linear channels.

“We’re excited to offer more brands, in more countries, the opportunity to engage with Prime Video audiences alongside award-winning series and movies, fan favorite titles, and live sports in 2025,” said Alan Moss, Vice President of Global Ad Sales at Amazon Ads. “Since we introduced Prime Video ads earlier this year, we have been able to help brands and advertisers achieve full-funnel business results thanks to the differentiated value we offer across our premium content, reach, first-party signals, and innovative ad tech.”

Prime Video ads are currently offered in Australia, Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Spain, the UK, and the US. All regions also offer customers the choice of an ad-free option.
