Minister of Education Kendirbaeva, World Bank’s Education Global Practice Manager discuss cooperation in development of education sector

AKIPRESS.COM – Minister of Education and Science Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva met with World Bank’s Education Global Practice Manager Rita K. Almeida.

They discussed further cooperation steps in development of the country’s education sector, the Ministry’s press service reported.

Minister Kendirbaeva thanked the World Bank for its contribution to development of human capital and highlighted importance of joint efforts in education system reforms.

The issues related to a new grant of the World Bank for support of key education initiatives, possibility of obtaining financing through the International Trust Fund for financing of long-term education programs.

They also discussed transformation of the education system of Kyrgyzstan.

The World Bank supported the initiatives in revision of education content, in-service training of teachers with focus on development of digital skills. The project is carried out with support of the Ministry of Digital Development.
