Louis Vuitton opens innovative store and cafe at Heathrow Airport

Louis Vuitton’s new Heathrow T2 store blends futuristic design with an in-store café by a renowned French chef, serving monogrammed cappuccinos and patisseries. Olivia Palamountain reports

Louis Vuitton has expanded its presence at London’s Heathrow Airport, opening a new store in Terminal 2 that houses a café by celebrated French chef, Cyril Lignac.

This debut is company’s first culinary venture in the UK, as it continues to diversify its offerings beyond fashion and leather goods.

The store’s exterior, designed in collaboration with Marc Fornes of New York-based studio THEVERYMANY, features an aerodynamic façade that stands out in the airport environment. Inside, travellers will find a selection of women’s items and men’s accessories.

Seamlessly integrated within the store is Le Café Cyril Lignac at Louis Vuitton, the brand’s first collaboration with the Parisian chef.Louis Vuitton Heathrow T2 The café offers both counter service and table seating, enveloped by a curvilinear, second-skin interior designed to impart a sense of calm amidst the airport’s steady flow.

The café’s design balances playfulness and sophistication, featuring orange and gold accents. Overhead, Quetzal Mobiles by atelier oï, part of the Objets Nomades collection, conjure birds in flight.

It caters to various tastes with healthy, classic and gourmet options.

The menu features morning staples like Royal Eggs, croissants, fruit plates, and avocado toast. For later in the day, travellers can enjoy Lignac’s signature crab salad, alongside elevated snacks and hot dishes such as Croque Monsieur, lobster roll, beetroot salad with goat’s cheese, and Caesar Salad. Sweet options include artful Louis Vuitton pâtisseries and a mango Eton Mess.Louis Vuitton Heathrow T2This opening is part of Louis Vuitton’s broader strategy to expand into hospitality. Since 2020, the company has opened over 20 restaurants, cafés, chocolate shops and airport lounges worldwide.

The Louis Vuitton store and Le Café Cyril Lignac at Louis Vuitton in Heathrow Terminal 2 will be open daily from 5:30am to 10pm.
