Intercontinental Travelling Art Exhibition concludes

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Oct. 18: A unique and grand three-day Intercontinental Travelling Art Exhibition successfully concluded in the capital on Thursday.

Hundred artworks of the same number of artists from 100 countries across the globe were showcased in the exhibition at Gallery Mcube in Chakupat, Lalitpur. The exhibition was held from October 15 to October 17. 

The art event was organised by Inter-Art Foundation-Aiud Romania in partnership with E-Arts Nepal and Gallery Mcube. Hundreds of national and international art lovers visited the exhibition and praised the artworks, founder of Gallery Mcube Manish Lal Shrestha said.

Shrestha also said that the exhibition offered an international platform for 100 artists to showcase their diverse talents and cultural expressions. 

Stefan Balog, President of the Inter-Art Foundation Aiud Romania, said that he had the privilege of meeting most of the artists personally while travelling the countries and the artists entrusted him with their precious artworks.

Visiting artist Balog also said that the exhibited artworks were not for sale and they would be showcased in other countries as well in the future. 

“Our objective was for the Nepali people to experience and appreciate the diverse artistic talents and expressions from across the world,” Balog added.

Nepalese artist Asha Dangol who represented the country in the art event said that he coordinated from Nepal and supported the art exhibition fully. According to Dangol, he met Romanian artist Balog in 2014 and has been collaborating with him since then. 

The next episode of the exhibition will be held in New Delhi, India, informed Dangol.
