Media Expo Delhi 2024: Kongsberg showcases its X series

Kongsberg showcases its Kongsberg X series at Media Expo New Delhi 2024, which was held on 12-14 September 2024 at Pragati Maidan, Delhi.

Rafiq Shaikh, sales and service leader, Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems, said, “We tried to demonstrate first-hand to visitors how the versatility of and power of the Kongsberg X series enables businesses to boost their productivity and creativity.”

This year, Kongsberg showcased its X24 cutting table as its highlight. “The product is capable of delivering perfect packaging, eye-catching 2D designs, and innovative 3D designs showcasing how it singularly surpasses the production speeds of traditional lasers, routers and plotters leading to significant savings on labour and floor place.”

Key innovations included that exchanging tools on a Kongsberg X can be done simply by inserting a tool and hitting “start”. Each tool can be identified with a unique barcode with tool parameters stored in the systems’ memory preventing operational errors. “Incorporating the X24 Edge into an existing production not only enables a business to boost its throughput but also gives them the ability to accept any size order run and even expand their offering to drive overall sales. This is particularly beneficial for those converters considering a move into packaging,” Shaikh said. 

Emphasising sustainability, the company has created a machine with low operating costs as it has efficient power consumption and minimal need for consumables. 

Kongsberg believes Drupa was a successful event. “However, more promotion may help drive the numbers even higher,” Shaikh said.
