Mukul Agrawal buys 1.58% stake in Stanley Lifestyle, stock up 7%

Ace investor Mukul Mahavir Agrawal has bought a 1.58% stake in Stanley Lifestyle, according to the shareholding pattern for the quarter ended September 2024, following which the stock surged 7% higher at Rs 519.2 on the BSE.

According to the data available on the BSE, Mukul Mahavir Agrawal holds nearly 9 lakh shares in the company.

As of September 2024, approximately 56.81% of Stanley Lifestyle’s equity is held by the promoter and promoter group, while the remaining 43.19% is owned by public shareholders.

The company’s shares debuted on the stock exchanges on June 28 with a premium of 35.23%, listing at Rs 499 compared to the offer price of Rs 369.

As of 1:02 pm, the stock was trading 5.4% higher at Rs 512.6 on the BSE. Since its listing, the stock has appreciated by 3%, reflecting a 39% increase from its issue price.In FY23, the company’s revenue from operations grew to Rs 69.51 crore from Rs 67.44 crore in the preceding quarter of the previous financial year. Meanwhile, profit after tax jumped multifold to Rs 15.80 crore from just Rs 4.12 crore a year earlier.The company’s current market valuation stood at Rs 2,930.7 crore on the NSE. In traded volume terms, 3.73 lakh shares traded on the NSE during the day.

Stanley Lifestyles is a super-premium and luxury furniture brand in India and among the few home-grown super-premium and luxury consumer brands in India operating at scale in terms of manufacturing as well as retail operations.

The company retails its furniture products under the Stanley brand with a wide range of home solutions offerings, such as sofas, arm chairs, kitchen cabinets, beds, mattresses and pillows, among others.
