Pharrell Williams’ Men’s Ski Collection for Louis Vuitton is Here

As Louis Vuitton’s Men’s Creative Director, Pharrell Williams has unveiled the house’s men’s ski collection for the upcoming winter. A culture in its own right, the latest collection revolves around skiing as a mode of life mirroring the brand’s LVERS ideology – the philosophy of a global community tied together by a passion for the discernment, savoir-faire, and iconography central to the Maison. Designed to go on and off the slopes, the new collection is crafted with sustainable materials that create a complete wardrobe for the Louis Vuitton wearer’s active lifestyle.

The new performance gear arrives waterproof and windproof. It is imbued with functional details like ski pass holders, inside goggle pockets, and ventilation zippers designed to be the ultimate ski suit complying with the sport’s principles. The collection is further developed with pieces complimenting the apres ski lifestyle with transitional and luxurious pieces like a sumptuous shearling jacket, refined wool jackets, hotfix-adorned fairisle knits, and pearl-embroidered cable knit sweaters. Focusing on state-of-the-art sustainability, the collection integrates various innovative recycled fabrics, like ski suits and shell suits constructed in recycled polyamide and polyester and technical jackets lined in certified organic cotton.

A Damoflage Snow motif is highlighted through the pieces, interpreted across different techniques and fabrics in a wintery palette that blends with a mountain scene. It’s shown as a print across a ski shell suit and a cozy fleece tracksuit. The motif also adorns technical ski mittens, a reversible wool beanie and scarf, and a knitted cushion and blanket, while other pieces paint the picture of a vintage ski scene. Key pieces include voluminous padded ski trousers, black jacquard trousers with the LV Blason logo all over, a pearl-adorned tracksuit, and a white cable knit sweater.

As for shoes, the LV Blizzard boot is durable and waterproof, constructed with an inside sock function and snow-proof ankle drawstring and ruching in black or white rubber with Damoflage neoprene. Highlights include the LV Checker Combat boot, while the LV Trainer and the LV Trainer Snow have been reimagined into technical waterproof performance sneakers. For off-the slopes, the LV Footprint low boot returns in glacier blue shearling or natural fox fur with its distinctive rubber sole.

Accessories include a variety of sporty canvas bags with the Damoflage Snow print, like the Hamac and Mountain backpack. The house’s fan-favorite Speedy P9 arrives in Damier jacquard winter denim with padded details and shearling trims. The ultimate accessory? The new collection debuts a new and limited edition of the LV Snowboard, adapting the sensibility of retro ski patterns, also reflected in the knitwear.
