Lahore: The condition of Pakistan’s cities is also bad due to pollution. In fact, Lahore, which is called the cultural city of Pakistan, has been declared the most polluted city in the world. Let us tell you that Lahore’s AQI has reached 394, which is considered very bad. Due to the ever-increasing pollution, the Punjab government of Pakistan has planned artificial rain to reduce the effect of fog.

Artificial rain will be made

In view of the continuously increasing pollution, Information Minister of Punjab, Pakistan, Azma Bukhari held a press conference. He said in the press conference, ‘Yesterday Lahore was declared the most polluted city in the world. We have taken several initiatives to resolve this issue and now we are planning artificial rain in the city.

Special team formed

Meanwhile, Maryam Nawaz’s Punjab government has also formed an anti-smog team, which will visit the affected areas. These teams will inform farmers about the dangers of burning crop residues. Apart from this, we will create awareness to promote the use of Super Seeder and provide information about alternative methods for disposal of crop residues.

Environment Minister appealed to farmers

Regarding pollution, Punjab Environment Minister Maryam Aurangzeb said, ‘The positive effects of the steps taken to deal with smog will be visible in eight to 10 years. Environmental protection has been included as a subject in the curriculum in the province. Apart from this, he appealed to the farmers to avoid burning crop residues. He said that doing so not only damages the crops but also affects the health of their children.

AQI reached 395

Let us tell you that the AQI level in Lahore, the world’s most polluted city, has reached 395. AQI is a measure of the concentration of various pollutants in the air. AQI between zero and 50 is ‘good’, between 51 and 100 is ‘satisfactory’, between 101 and 200 is ‘moderate’, between 201 and 300 is ‘poor’, between 301 and 400 is ‘very poor’. ‘ and between 401 and 500 is considered ‘severe’.
