Vote for the Cheboygan Daily Tribune Athlete of the Week for Oct. 14-19

CHEBOYGAN – It’s time to vote for the Cheboygan Daily Tribune’s Athlete of the Week.    

Each week, Cheboygan area high school athletes will be eligible for the Athlete of the Week honor. Polls go live on Tuesday morning and voting closes at 11 p.m. on Thursday. The athlete of the week will be announced on Friday.  

Here’s a look at this week’s nominees:  

Jack Ekdahl, Cheboygan Football – Rushed for 128 yards on 26 carries in a victory over Grayling.  

Diem Schley, Cheboygan Volleyball – Recorded 17 kills and five blocks in a win at Kalkaska.  

Chloe Robinson, Inland Lakes Volleyball – Finished with 29 kills, 40 digs, eight aces and five blocks at the Bulldog Invitational.  

Braylon Currie, Mackinaw City Cross Country – Earned fourth place at the final EUP meet.  

Carley Karsten, Onaway Volleyball – Tallied 10 digs, five assists and two kills in wins over Mackinaw City and East Jordan.  

Landen Brandt, Pellston Football – Had eight tackles, two sacks and two fumble recoveries in a win at Onaway.
