Dev and Dhrubo Banerjee’s film shooting postponed?

The preproduction of Dhrubo Banerjee’s ambitious project Raghu Dakat was on. Dev is scheduled to play the lead character. Production house SVF announced the film with a brief look at the superstar in 2021. According to sources, the shooting was supposed to start in December. As per current reports, the film production is further stalled.  

Srijit Mukherji’s Tekka was released this Puja. The film that features Dev impressed the box office during the festive season. Dev’s next film Khadaan will be released this Christmas. Earlier, it was speculated that the shooting of Raghu Dakat would begin without Dev and the actor would join after the release of Khadaan. The recce and all other preproduction works started for Dhrubo Banerjee’s film. Now, according to reports, the shooting may get postponed over the issue of budget and the availability of Dev.  

Earlier, Dhrubo told OTTplay that he was writing the film. “My current focus is to write and rewrite the script so that we can shoot the film well,” he told us. Refuting the claim of shooting, he further stated that there had not been any plan of immediate shooting.   

Meanwhile, Dev has been busy with his work. Soon after Tekka was released in Puja, he went on a holiday trip with Rukmini Maitra. They came back to town recently. In Khadaan, the actor will be back as an action hero. He made sure of that in snappy dialogues. Apart from him, the film also suggests Jisshu U Sengupta.
