Want to Be in a Movie? Colorado Film Needs Extras Right Now

Throughout the history of film, Colorado has been chosen as a place to depict absolutely spectacular landscapes.

Quite possibly the most classic example is the original version of True Grit, which was filmed back in 1969.

Even though the film is meant to take place in Arkansas, most of it was actually filmed near Ouray, Colorado.

Sometimes, it can be much smaller. For example, a building on CSU’s campus was used in the classic 1992 film, A League of Their Own

One movie I can’t recommend enough is about a Colorado legend, Temple Grandin. Produced by HBO, it’s a rare movie that is considered 100% Fresh by Rotten Tomatoes.

With that being said, people are still filming movies right here in Colorado, and if you’d like to get involved with one, there is a pretty rare opportunity happening for you very soon.

Indie Movie Filming in Colorado Needs Zombie Extras

Right now, there’s an independent horror film being produced in Colorado called Eerie Town that needs extras as soon as possible.

According to Out There Colorado, it’s being filmed in Erie, Colorado, and since it’s on a bit of a lower budget, they need local support to help. Right now, the movie’s GoFundMe page has accrued over $9,000.

With that being said, they are shooting a major scene this Saturday, October 26th, and are looking to fill the streets of Erie with a bunch of zombies.

What is Eerie Town Going to Be About?

According to the film’s GoFundMe page, Eerie Town is going to be a horror and comedy film about a man named Jessie Bridges who moves back to the small town he grew up in after a foray in the big city.

However, he returns at quite possibly the worst time imaginable when a vampire hunt goes wrong and the town becomes swarmed with zombies.

Despite the circumstances, Jessie still seems to be looking for love.

The film is going to be directed and produced by Michael Freeman.
