Antigua and Barbuda Advocates for Climate Resilience at 2024 IMF and World Bank Meetings

Senator Dwayne George, along with a delegation from the Ministry of Finance, represented Antigua and Barbuda at the 2024 Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group (WBG), held from October 21 to October 26 in Washington, D.C.

The delegation’s participation underscores the nation’s proactive role in addressing the global challenges posed by climate vulnerability, particularly for Small Island Developing States (SIDS).

Throughout the meetings, the Antigua and Barbuda team will place a strong emphasis on discussions related to climate change, focusing on the critical need to enhance climate resilience.
