New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi narrated the story of India’s development to German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. During this, the Prime Minister invited German companies to invest in the country. PM Modi on Friday said that there is no better place than India for investment and this is the right time to be a part of the country’s development story. The Prime Minister was addressing the 18th conference of ‘Asia Pacific Conference of German Business’ organized here. He said this is the ‘right’ time for foreign investors to be a part of India’s growth story and join the ‘Make in India’ and ‘Make for the World’ initiatives.

PM Modi said, “The confidence that Germany has expressed in India’s skilled workforce is wonderful. Because the European nation has decided to increase the number of visas for skilled Indian workforce from 20,000 to 90,000.” Modi said, ”This is the right time to be a part of India’s growth story. India is becoming the center of global trade and manufacturing.” India today stands on the strong pillars of democracy, demography, demand and ‘data’. Today’s India is making record investments in roads and ports. Also, the Indo-Pacific region is very important for the future of the world. The conference was held on Friday after a gap of 12 years.

Framework ready to develop India by 2047

PM Modi said the government has prepared a framework to make India a developed nation by 2047 and at this important time, the German Cabinet has released an ‘India-centric’ document to further strengthen relations between the two countries. He said that India is becoming a hub of diversification, risk-free, trade and manufacturing and it provides vast business opportunities to German companies. Modi said, “What could be a better place than India for investors and companies?” The Prime Minister said the four main pillars of India’s development are talent, technology, innovation and infrastructure. “We have the power of an aspirational India” to take all this forward.

India Germany bilateral trade crosses 30 billion dollars

Modi said India is focusing on democratization of skills and technology. Its important missions in areas such as artificial intelligence, semiconductors, green hydrogen and space technology also provide opportunities for investment and cooperation. He said that the visiting delegation should also enjoy India’s culture, food and shopping. Bilateral trade between India and Germany currently exceeds $30 billion. Many German companies are operating in India, while Indian companies are also increasing their presence in Germany. (Language)
