As far as Southern Florida’s homes are concerned, there’s no shortage of opulent, over-the-top estates with amenities that rival five-star resorts.

A new property in Highland Beach, Florida, a municipality located between Delray Beach and Boca Raton in Palm Beach County, recently came to market for a cool $34 million. Located on South Ocean Boulevard, this massive estate is represented by Nick Malinosky and Mike O’Connor of The Exclusive Group at Douglas Elliman and sits on a one-acre lot. The palatial 17,400-square-foot home has six bedrooms, nine full bathrooms, and two powder rooms. The home has a Tuscan-inspired facade with large arched windows and columns, a terracotta roof, and expansive terraces.

The draw to this oceanfront home—apart from its immaculate Atlantic Ocean views—are its grand indoor spaces. Highlighting both contemporary and Italian-inspired design, the heart of the home is the double-height great room with three large windows overlooking the pool and ocean beyond. There’s space for large artwork, as well as a cozy fireplace. The main level houses a gourmet kitchen, ideal for those who love to cook or prefer to hire a chef. The kitchen has blue stone countertops, ample storage space, and plenty of space for cooking prep. Adjacent to the kitchen is a family room with a TV, an informal breakfast nook, and doors that open directly to the patio. The kitchen also has an eat-in kitchen island, a hidden refrigerator, and custom stark-white cabinetry that looks more akin to a library than a kitchen. Designed to perfection, it’s the ideal gathering space for a large family.

The first floor has a curved wood-paneled library with coffered ceilings and intricate family crests, as well as built-in shelving and windows that overlook the pool and ocean. There’s also a formal dining room with bright patterned wallpaper and a beautiful ceiling. The majority of the bedrooms are located on the second floor, including the sumptuous primary suite. A staircase curves to the second floor, which features a landing topped with a crystal chandelier.

The primary bedroom features classical details, like ornate moldings and silk curtains, but has a contemporary flair through modern light fixtures and furnishings. There’s access to a private wraparound ocean-facing terrace, as well as a spa-like bathroom, which include marble countertops and a freestanding soaking tub. There’s also another private office with ornate coffered ceilings. The terrace has its own sitting area and feels like a patio of a royal terrace, with columns and beautiful stone floors.

The additional bedrooms are equally as luxe and feature en suite bathrooms and ample storage. Each has a varying design, with different color palettes, wallpaper, and layouts, yet all bedrooms have a view of the ocean. Other amenities include a movie theater; a wood-paneled bar and games room with a billiards table; wine cellar; and fully outfitted gym. One of the most striking features is the Versace-inspired indoor pool and spa. The Italian fashion brand Versace is known for its luxe fabrics like silk and leather, intricate embellishments, exuberant style, and excellent craftsmanship. The homeowners designed this indoor pool with elements similar to the Italian label, which is a luxurious oasis surrounded by detailed columns, hand-painted murals, frescoes, and ornamental details.

The home also has 100 feet of ocean frontage, as well as an outdoor pool, al fresco kitchen and dining area, patio, lawn space, and pier. There’s also a small putting green in front of the pool, plus a landscaped walking that path that leads to the ocean from the lawn.
