Nick Saban’s Birthday Tribute at College Football GameDay Helps Daughter Kristen Pick Sides

Penn State is adding the people to their court to cheer up for their not-so-necessary win against Ohio State at Happy Valley today. Just a few hours back, Lee Corso, the celebrity ESPN analyst, performed his iconic headgear pick in favor of Penn State in front of a psyched-up homegrown crowd. Now, Nick Saban, the legendary former Alabama coach and the contemporary CFB analyst’s daughter, pulled a bombshell social media post to let the world know who they are rooting for.

Nick Saban stepped into his glorious 73rd a few days back. The legendary coach-turned-analyst today arrived in University Park, PA, alongside the rest of the College GameDay crew in Week 10 for a sensational Penn State-Ohio State matchup. While dropping his master’s takes on the game, the Nittany Lions made a surprise appearance on the stage. The iconic Penn State mascot handed Saban a birthday gift, which turned out to be nothing but a Nittany Lion Snugible. The entire Happy Valley crowd burst into a happy birthday chant with Pat McAfee in the frontline while Saban put the dress on. At one point in time, McAfee told Saban to say, ‘We are’. Little did he know Saban’s daughter, from elsewhere on the earth, reciprocated the emotion via an IG shoutout.

Kristen Cheers posted the video of his father donning the Penn State costume with the caption, ”We are Penn State.” It looks like James Franklin simply has the luck and people by his side today. The betting odds are just the brownie points they get.

Nick Saban has wrapped up his career as the one-of-a-kind Alabama coach a year back, leaving the load on Kalen DeBoer. But football couldn’t leave him. The veteran came back in the mix in another avatar, this time to fit in the shoes of an ESPN College GameDay analyst. While it lets him channel his endless love and expertise for the game creatively, it keeps fans connected with him, just like his heyday.

Saban, by nature, has been apt to keep a super serious aura in every situation. It would be a very rare sight to see the former Alabama coach smiling or laughing out loud at any off-guard moment, even outside the field. But guess what? His genes turned out to be different. In one such instance, daughter Kristen had a savage response to a fan who got far with his limit with the unsmiling, poker-faced coach.

Nick Saban’s daughter had a hilarious response to a quirky fan antic

Saban garnered a lot of eyeballs in his historic coaching tenure with the Tide. Saban holds the records of 201-29 at Bama, taking nine SEC titles and six national championships to his name. He is known for leveraging the most dominant defenses the sport had ever seen and then revolutionizing his offensive approach thoroughly.

In fact, he is the architect behind the present day in Alabama. History will certainly remember him as an ultimate trailblazer of his own kind that anyone else can hardly think of competing with. But his daughter doesn’t think his father’s celebrated legacy alone deserves to go down in history, rather his quirky fan base also deserves their flower, too.

A random fan named Chris Marler once shared a reel that bears the caption, “I made this video for you 4 years ago and send it every year, I just wanna say happy birthday to you…… we got you 2 of these boxes of oatmeal creme pies,”. The hilarious video might seem risky, but it got Saban’s daughter right in her sarcastic sense. Cheers commented, ”This will go down in history.”
