Ole Miss football quarterback Jaxson Dart sets offensive yards record
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. − Ole Miss football quarterback Jaxson Dart’s huge first half was enough to get him a record.
Dart is now Ole Miss’ all-time total offense leader. He passed former Rebels quarterback Bo Wallace, who had 10, 478 combined passing and rushing yards from 2012 through 2014. Dart has been Ole Miss’ starting quarterback since 2022.
Dart hit the mark on a 66-yard touchdown pass to receiver Jordan Watkins in Saturday’s game against Arkansas. He had a massive first half against the Arkansas defense. Even with star receiver Tre Harris out, Dart has carved up the Razorbacks to the tune of 294 passing yards and four touchdowns through two quarters.
Although he has come down to earth in the SEC portion of the schedule, Dart is still having a big statistical year. He entered Week 10 against Arkansas as the No. 3 passer in the nation (2,695 yards). He also rushed for 207 yards entering this week.
Dart’s season high in passing yards came against Furman in Week 1. Dart threw for 418 yards and five scores against the Paladins.
The Rebels (6-2, 2-2 SEC) lead Arkansas 35-10 at the half. Arkansas (5-3, 3-2) has struggled to find any sort of momentum against the Rebels’ defense, and Ole Miss’ offense has not relented.
