Ole Miss football receiver Tre Harris doesn’t start vs Arkansas
FAYETTEVILLE, Arkansas – Ole Miss football has taken the field without its top receiving threat.
Tre Harris did not start for the Rebels’ against Arkansas on Saturday. The senior receiver was questionable to play all week with a lower-body injury and carried a game-time decision tag into kickoff.
No. 18 Ole Miss (6-2, 2-2 SEC) has struggled at Arkansas (5-3, 3-2) in recent memory. The Rebels are 2-8 in Fayetteville since 2002. Getting Harris back, even if in limited capacity, would have been a big boost. Harris is No. 2 in the nation with 987 receiving yards.
When Harris isn’t on the field, his absence places an extra burden on other Ole Miss pass catchers. Tight end Caden Prieskorn played well last week against Oklahoma, catching a season-high five passes for 71 yards and a touchdown.
Prieskorn led Ole Miss in receiving yards last week when Harris was out. Senior receiver Jordan Watkins and sophomore Cayden Lee were also featured heavily when Harris was out. Both Watkins and Lee caught four passes for 59 yards.
