CMAI to host second edition of ‘Brands of India’ in Dubai

The Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI) in collaboration with Indian government’s ministry of textiles and Embassy of India in UAE will host the second edition of ‘Brands of India’ from November 12 to 14 at Dubai World Trade Centre, UAE.

The Apparel Export Promotion Council, Noida Apparel Export Cluster, TEXMAS Dubai and Readymade Garments Merchants Group of Dubai will also be part of the event.
The exhibition will feature over 150 Indian apparel brands and manufacturers presenting a diverse range of fashion in men’s wear, women’s wear and kids wear.
Additionally, around 1400 retailers, wholesalers and importers from UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Yemen, Egypt, Turkey, Angola, Ghana, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Morocco, Nigeria, Kenya, Somalia, Algeria, USA, UK, Australia, Canada, Germany, Greece, Singapore, South Africa and other countries have pre-registered to visit the fair.
Commenting on the event, Santosh Katariya, president of CMAI in a statement said, “UAE has been a big market for apparel for many years because of the competitive position it enjoys. It accounts for 12 percent share in total apparel exports from India and also helps to tap into other neighbouring countries.”
“Brands of India is designed for our members to get introduced to varied export destinations especially GCC states, the wider Middle East beyond the GCC, North Africa, European Union and CIS region,” he added.
The first edition of Brands of India held in November 2023 at Dubai saw participation by 2800 overseas buyers from 63 countries.
