2025 Budget: Training 16,000 Teachers in Albanian Language, IT, and Science

The 2025 education budget will continue to fund the National Program for Teachers’ Professional Development, focusing on strengthening teaching skills in science, primary education, the Albanian language, and information technology.

Ministry of Education and Sports announced that this budget will enable the training of 16,000 teachers in these fields, equipping them with the expertise needed to enhance education quality nationwide.

The program emphasizes not only improving knowledge but also aligning teaching practices with international standards.

As part of the initiative, professional development plans will incorporate PISA test models to help teachers better prepare students for global challenges.

This effort is part of a broader strategy to elevate education quality in Albania, ensuring teachers have the tools and skills necessary to drive student success and meet European standards.

The program is supported by faculty members from seven public universities, including those in Tirana, Elbasan, Durrës, Korça, Vlora, Gjirokastër, and Shkodër.

Renowned experts and trainers are providing tailored, ongoing support to teachers, ensuring their professional growth is both practical and impactful.
