Brazil boosts grape exports to china with lightweight, recyclable packaging
Brazil has enhanced its position in global trade by increasing its fresh grape exports to China. This follows the establishment of a phytosanitary protocol in November, facilitating Brazilian table grapes’ entry into new international markets. A key factor in this expansion is the adoption of the DaColheita packaging solution, which is both lightweight and sustainable. This packaging innovation has led to a reduction in air freight costs by up to 6% and a decrease in CO₂ emissions, made possible by its 100% recyclable materials. The packaging also improves shelf life and maintains consistent temperature control throughout transportation, addressing the logistical challenges of long-distance shipments.
Through the integration of advanced cold chain solutions and partnerships with logistics operators, Brazil is navigating the complexities of accessing distant Asian markets. These initiatives demonstrate Brazil’s commitment to innovation in agricultural exports and its competitive edge in the global market. The increasing demand for fresh produce in Asia highlights Brazil’s influence in international trade and its dedication to sustainable practices, strengthening its agricultural export sector and cementing its status as a reliable global commerce partner.
