ServiceNow appoints Ganesh Lakshminarayanan as MD & Group VP of India and SAARC, ET BrandEquity

Automation software major ServiceNow has appointed Ganesh Lakshminarayanan as its Managing Director and Group Vice President of India and the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) team.

“India continues to be a cornerstone of our growth story in APAC, and I’m thrilled to announce a significant step forward in our journey. On Monday, 6 January, Ganesh Lakshminarayanan will join us as Managing Director and Group Vice President (GVP), India and SAARC Business, leading our go-to-market team,” Detlef Krause, President APAC at ServiceNow, said on LinkedIn on Monday.

Earlier in the year, ServiceNow announced two growth investments in its partner ecosystem in India with inMorphis and Prodapt. “I’m confident Ganesh’s leadership will, help us scale new heights, drive innovation, and deliver even greater impact for our customers, partners and employees,” Krause said.

He added that Lakshminarayanan brings deep expertise in India’s enterprise sector, having worked at Airtel, Dell Technologies, and more.

Lakshminarayanan is currently the CEO of Airtel Business’ India operations.

Airtel and ServiceNow, however, were yet to release a media statement at the time of filing this report.

Airtel appointed Lakshminarayanan as the CEO of its Enterprise Business back in July 2020. In this role, he was responsible for further strengthening the Sunil Mittal-led telco’s market leadership in the business-to-business (B2B) segment and accelerating growth on the back of enterprises’ digital transformation initiatives.

He was also an advisor to start-ups like Practo, Belong and Porter and served on the executive councils of the National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM) and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI).
