From the local scene, the show will feature artists such as Charma Gal, Vee Mampeezy, Juu Matere, Ubuntu Band, ATI, Dr Vom, Franco, and Crispin The Drummer while the masters of ceremonies are MC Theo, Phlyhoney and Msatohh. When addressing the media recently, the event’s marketing manager, Mabitso Kesenye, assured the public that all the artists in their line-up would be present at the event.
He indicated that Dladleng Entertainment is not a stranger to hosting events of such magnitude, having previously hosted several festivals. These festivals include the All Jazz Festival at Lions Park in 2012, 48 Hour Fun Fest when Botswana celebrated 48 years of independence with over 13 international artists and many more others. “Our event is inclusive as it caters for both the experienced and newcomers. If you look at our line-up, you will realise that our event is an all-inclusive genre event. If you look at artists like DJ Fresh and DJ Mapjorisa, they have over a decade of experience in the entertainment industry. We also have new artists that are doing very well in the music industry like Ras Webber who will be playing Reggae music. We also have a DJ who plays the 60s and 70s music,” he said.
Furthermore, he pointed out that ever since they started hosting Gaabo Motho, they have always taken their fans and assets’ safety very seriously and had therefore increased security. Kesenye also warned the public against buying tickets from people who are not official merchants. He said they must buy them at shopping outlets indicated on their website. He indicated that they would be scanning all tickets before entry and therefore they would be able to identify forged tickets. He said serious action would be taken against those who produce forged tickets.
