Hyundai Creta EV to Launch in India on January 17
Hyundai is set to launch the electric Creta on January 17 at the Bharat Mobility Expo. The electric SUV will build on the strong legacy of the internal combustion engine (ICE) Creta, which currently starts at Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom). It will strengthen Creta’s position in the market, catering to diverse driving options. The electric variant is set to hit production lines by the end of 2024, with an ambitious target of 24,000 units annually. It is expected to be priced between Rs 15 lakh and Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom), and capture a significant share of the EV market. In terms of market rivalry, the SUV will rival the likes of the MG ZS EV, the Tata Curvv EV, and the upcoming Maruti Suzuki e Vitara. Read on to know more about the upcoming electric version of the Creta.
Hyundai Creta EV: Design and Features
Spy shots of the electric Creta have revealed that electric Creta will closely resemble its ICE sibling, with elements like the headlight and taillight configurations. However, it will stand out with revised bumpers, a closed-off grille, and aerodynamic 17-inch alloy wheels. Inside, the electrified SUV will feature a familiar twin-screen layout for the infotainment and instrument cluster, albeit with updated software and additional features.
